Geotechnical Engineer

This well established company in Dundin is currently looking for an experienced Geotechnical Engineer. They have a number of offices in NZ who provide Planning, Engineering and Surveying services to local land development, subdivision and construction clients.

They have a medium sized team of highly qualified and experienced professional staff who are involved in varied projects to ensure a thorough, innovative, successful and professional outcome. They have extensive knowledge of the region - its landforms, communities and government authorities therefor work on projects locally and throughout the South Island.

To be considered for this position you are required to have a tertiary Geotechnical qualification with substantial local experience. Alternatively a tertiary qualification in Geology would be considered if your experience was all of a Geotechnical nature. You will be highly self-motivated, client focused, be a team player, a strong problem solver and most importantly enjoy what you do!

The role will require you to have a large emphasis on building strong client relationships as well as being technically competent. The work includes field/site investigation, geotechnical design of piled foundations, earth-retaining structures, reinforced earth walls, earthwork construction advice, foundation advice and slope stability advice. Additionally geotechnical assessments and reports, contract preparation and administration project management will be included.
