Bridge Design Engineer

There is an urgent need for a Senior Bridge design engineer who is interested in being based in Auckland and to have the opportunity to work with one of New Zealand's leading multi disciplinary consulting firms and one of New Zealand's biggest consulting firms.

Within this role you will be involved in:

Preparation of expressions of interest and project proposals,
Assisting clients in the preparation of design briefs for projects including preliminary programming and estimates,
The preparation of fee estimates and the negotiation of fees for services with clients, ensuring that projects operate on a profitable basis,
Carrying out design, investigation and documentation in accordance with the project brief,
Project reporting and job progress reporting.

The successful candidate for this position will be:

A chartered professional engineer
Have proven experience in Bridge design
Experience with local standards, design codes, legislation and practices
Have an ability to work independently
Hold the ability to manage projects efficiently
Knowledge of earthquake engineering design & implementation
Alliance/Design & Construct experience is preferred
